清洁开始，机器人负责客厅和餐厅的垃圾清理、桌面整理，保洁阿姨则直奔卧室开展工作。在客厅，机器人小心地避开障碍物，缓步前行，精准抓取散落的杂物，分门别类地归置整齐，然后拿起抹布清理桌面，动作缓慢却有序。
58集团深圳城市经理黎子文介绍，在人机协作保洁模式里，目前机器人承担重复性、高强度的工作，包括收拾桌面、整理沙发、摆放鞋子等，保洁阿姨则负责复杂精细、深度清洁的工作，如边角清洁、台面整理、厨卫深度处理、消杀等，双方分工有序。
机器人保洁员一边实践，一边通过学习海量家庭场景，快速迭代能力。“每次完成任务后，它都会将脱敏后的感知数据和操作数据回传至训练平台，帮助模型迭代升级。”黎子文说，“第一次入户测试时，它捡起一块毛巾都需要十几分钟，一周后就能独立擦桌子了，如今已经掌握清理宠物粪便、叠衣服等技能。”
记者在现场看到，通过观察包装，机器人保洁员能够精细分类药物，还能自主分拣出过期零食。不过，基于安全作业的考虑，这款机器人还未参与涉水场景工序，动作也设定得相对缓慢。
大约3个小时过去，保洁阿姨已经打扫完其他房间，机器人也完成了客厅和餐厅的整理。以往，像这样130平方米大小的房子，一次日常保洁通常需要4—5个小时。

市场反馈强化了黎子文的信心：58同城线上平台上，智能保洁服务预约火爆，一天开放8单，预约订单已经排到半个月后。预约智能保洁和人工保洁价格相同，3个小时的日常保洁服务收费约140元。不久前，自变量机器人和58集团还在北京开通了智能保洁服务。
